About me

Charles Reed Cagle was reared in Clarksville, Texas, where he was born in 1962. Over the last 30 years, Mr. Reed Cagle and his wife, Donna, have been happily married. Their kid was born in Colorado Springs in 1999; they returned to Plano Texas in 2018 after living in Colorado Springs for a decade. Charles Reed Cagle has been working in the energy sector for 35 years in various capacities.

In 1986, Reed Cagle joined Kinlaw Oil Corporation as an associate. In 1996, he moved to Dallas, Texas, to work on the start-up of a tiny independent energy company. Since its inception in 1997, Mr. Cagle has held the positions of President and CEO of both Heartland Energy, Inc. and HEI. Drilling and servicing businesses, geophysicists and other experts in the energy sector were all brought in to help him with the project. A 2000 horsepower drilling rig capable of drilling 20,000 feet was built by Charles Reed Cagle in 2006, when he entered the drilling service business.

Beginning in 2011, Charles Reed Cagle began working in the US and South American mining industries. As it turned out, he had purchased an Oregon mining concession that turned out to contain more than 89,000 troy ounces of gold. A copper and gold processing factory in Copiapo, Chile, has Charles Reed Cagle engaged in the financing and day-to-day operations. He developed a technique that removes and neutralizes harmful materials from liquids while still allowing valuable metals to be recovered. Copiapo is now using this technology, which has the potential to be employed in the mining industry all over the globe.

When Charles Reed Cagle returned to Texas, he started working with many mid-sized independent oil businesses to simplify operations and guide his clients towards lower-risk horizontal prospects in Colorado and Texas. He works for a big commercial landscaping firm in East and Central Texas in addition to oil and gas companies.

Reed's hobbies include fishing, hunting, cycling, and golfing with his son. He also likes spending time in the great outdoors.
